JCP Marine is a modern family business. Founded by Dr Julian Brown in 1987, our focus has been on the marine insurance market for more than three decades. Our expertise encompasses marine and non-marine surveys; remote surveys through the use of drones; and dispute resolution.
Our shipping and seafaring roots date back to the early 1800’s, three generations of Brown’s having served as RSM’s in the Royal Marines. David Brown (Dr. Brown’s uncle) was seconded to the Royal Navy on board HMS Girdle Ness as a mathematician in the 1950’s during development trials of the RN’s new guided missiles. And Dr Brown served in both the merchant navy and the Royal Naval Reserve.
